We are a young and dynamic team of expats and locals. We live, work, and travel extensively in Chile and know every corner and hidden treasure of this beautiful country. It’s all about having a good time and experiencing new landscapes and communities through sustainable tourism! We work extensively with locals, ensuring fair payment and working conditions, as well as protecting and maintaining the areas through which we travel. Flecha Extrema is a small tour operator with a heart and feel for the country.
Traveling with Flecha Extrema means quality adventure. We provide qualified guides, quality accommodation, and good food during your stay. Before your arrival, we will send further information about your tour and what to expect. You are the most important part of planning your holiday trip! We like to offer tailor-made trips, and it’s our passion to share this beautiful territory with our clients.
Yes! Simply send us your travel dates, tell us where you would like to go (North/South/Center), and we will coordinate your dream holiday. If you want some tips or ideas for your time in Chile, we are happy to create your itinerary. Get in touch today to craft your ideal adventure!
Locals like “huasos” or “arrieros” in the mountains or within the valleys are our direct contacts when it comes to planning a trip in nature. Of course, in Patagonia and southern Chile in general, there is no way to predict the weather. In the case of difficult weather situations (storms, snow, etc.), we will adjust the itinerary to ensure the groups’ safety and comfort.
Several of us here at Flecha are parents and know what we are talking about. Our guides are experienced working with children of all ages – even bringing them up to a glacier (on their shoulders!) – and will do everything to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable family trip.
Our team is trained to cope with all kinds of minor incidents like cuts, bruises, or a brief case of “travelers tummy”. In case of serious injury, we will seek local medical assistance. For this reason, medical insurance is mandatory for all our trips.
Fitness level is completely dependent on the type of trip you want to take. Most of our tours do not require a high level of physical fitness. If you would like to do special trekking in altitude (Altiplano), however, you should be fit enough for the task at hand. We try to be as clear and informative as possible when it comes to fitness levels for a tour, but if you would like more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
All of our staff are qualified and experienced local Chilean professionals and international guides (mainly for language issues!). They are full of “buena onda” (good vibrations) and preoccupied with your safety and enjoyment. Learn more about us and our story here.
Part of our service is that we book all domestic flights for you. We are registered with all Chilean airlines and therefore get special prices. Our operations team can help you book your international flight, but it is often cheaper if you check with local travel agencies to find the cheapest flight. Here are some examples: LATAM Airlines, Iberia, Air France, and Air Europa. Let us know if you need help with this!
Our programs and itineraries clearly state what is and is not included. Tips and personal items (souvenirs or drinks, for example) are not included in any program. You can decide whether or not to include meals within your customized program. Please contact us for more information if you are unsure about an aspect of the tour. It is important to us that you understand the included and excluded services before starting your journey.
We do this because all our costs and services take place in Chile or are organized from Santiago de Chile in order to ensure the best rates and service. If we invoiced in dollars or euros, we would have to adapt prices permanently, and this would cause artificial inflation of our rates.
